Cazalla Intercultural is looking for 4 volunteers to collaborate with the NGO Cazalla Intercultural and its educational activities for young people and youth information work especially on the topics of European mobility and for the enforcement of human rights.
THE HOST ORGANISATION
Cazalla Intercultural works as a point of information for young people at national and European levels, from which relevant and updated information is offered to them about personal and professional development opportunities. It is located in south-eastern Spain.
ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
Youth Work:
- Direct contact with young people and families of young people through telephone, mail, forms, newsletters, etc.
- Design and implementation of virtual/presential workshops.
- Youth information
Visibility and Social Media:
- Creation of content for social networks and website
- Design of posters, presentations, advertisements, etc.
- Support for the management of the association’s Instagram/FB/Twitter/Tiktok accounts.
Support for the coordination and implementation of European projects:
- Testing of educational tools
- Translation and proofreading
- Preparation of reports
- Support in the daily tasks implemented by the Cazalla Intercultural team, the tasks depend on the competences and interests of the volunteers.
Personal and professional development
- Design and implementation of a personal project
- Active participation in the activities of the network of the community’s civil society.
PROFILE OF THE VOLUNTEER
- 18 – 30 years old
- Residence in one of the countries that are part of the ESC Programme.
- Not having participated in a European Voluntary Service or European Solidarity Corps project before (attention: after participating in this project, you will not be able to participate in any other volunteering funded by the same programme, not even abroad).
- No previous sexual convictions (an up-to-date clearance certificate will be required).
- Availability for long term period, starting as soon as possible and ending in December 2023
- Motivation for youth work and/or administrative work and/or visibility and social media management
- Basic/intermediate level of English, not compulsory
HOW TO APPLY
Details about the selection process:
- Criteria that will be evaluated in the pre-selection and selection process: Motivation, Impact that the activity could have on the person, Competences and experiences related to the project, Assessment connected to the expectations of teamwork taking into account the elements already present in it.
- The shortlisted persons will have to participate in an on-line interview with three members of the Cazalla Intercultural team.
- Cazalla Intercultural works against discrimination and racism: we motivate people belonging to groups that suffer some kind of structural violence to apply for these volunteering positions and fight together with our team.
