Pistes Solidaires is looking for 2 volunteers to help promote Europe at a local level.
THE HOST ORGANISATION
The Municipality of Hendaye (17,000 inhabitants) is located in the extreme south-west of France at the border with Spain.
ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
The volunteers will be involved in various community projects with different partners and age groups. Both volunteers will actively take part in animations about Europe in the town’s leisure center (during school holidays) or within the extracurricular activities of two schools for children aged 6 to 11. They will also participate in the organization of cultural activities in cooperation with the Cultural Service (festivals in May and July). One volunteer will mainly collaborate with the Youth Information Office and youth workers with objectives orientated towards the development of international activities. The tasks of the other volunteer will be more orientated towards initiating international exchanges with an emphasis on sports and leisure activities.
