The context:

For the past ten years or so, Pistes-Solidaires has been working on the development of community gardens, which are playing an increasing social role. In order to last over time, they need to be supervised and animated by a person with technical and social skills: the Gardeniser. After the EU Go, Gardeniser and Gardeniser Pro projects, Gardeniser Hub wishes to respond to the growing demand for training, by creating a network of trainers across Europe to meet a growing need. Gardeniser Hub is coordinated by Social Farms & Gardens, (UK) partner of previous projects on this theme and of Gardeniser Plus, a parallel project that will send mobile Gardenisers all over Europe.

 

The objectives:

To favor the sustainability of community gardens through the development of a formally recognized training of trainers. To develop a specific training for schools and public services.

 

The results:

The below results can be found in the resources section of the website:

-Development of a training course for trainers of gardenisers

-Implementation of a trainer’s licence through the Gardeniser.eu platform.

-Organisation of training courses for trainers of Gardenisers .

-Organisation of training courses for gardenisers by trainers, particularly in the context of mobility in Europe.

-Development and implementation of training for schools and public services.
