Pistes Solidaires is looking for 10 motivated volunteers to support inclusion, rural development and community life in Catalonia!
THE HOST ORGANISATION
Obre’t’ebre is a non-profit organisation based in Roquetes, a rural town in Catalonia, Spain. It promotes social cohesion among children and young people, especially those facing social exclusion in disadvantaged rural areas.
The organisation develops projects related to sustainable development, education, inclusion and solidarity. It also acts as a sending, hosting and coordinating organisation within the European Solidarity Corps framework.
ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
Volunteers will join various community-based projects, depending on their profile and the local context. They may contribute to educational activities with children in schools, libraries or English clubs, support the social services of Caritas, get involved in an ecological garden or a second-hand solidarity shop (La Segona Volta), or assist in communication tasks such as managing social media or creating visuals. They will also be encouraged to engage in daily community life through shared cooking, gardening or creative workshops, embracing a fully immersive rural experience.
