A.C.T.O.R (Cultural Association for Theatre and Origani in Romania) is looking for volunteers to work on projects related to theater, art, non formal education and active citizenship.

THE HOST ORGANISATION
A.C.T.O.R. is an organisation that aims to support its beneficiaries to acquire creative communication skills, useful for the harmonious development of people, emphasising their responsibilities as actors in the community to which they belong.

Its objectives are :
– To increase acceptance and appreciation of one’s own cultural identity
– To deepen the understanding of belonging to the European Union among children and young people who are beneficiaries of the local network of educational institutions (based on arts and participation).
– To develop the capacity to overcome the difficulties of social integration of young disadvantaged beneficiaries in paediatric hospitals, by implementing non-formal educational programmes based on clinical and socio-educational animation.

ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
– Developing and implementing socio-cultural and clinical animation sessions in schools, kindergartens, hospitals and social centres in Bucharest
– Create social artistic events to promote solidarity and civic participation in the local community.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

You will be accommodated in a double room in a flat shared with other volunteers. The flat is fully furnished and includes 3 bedrooms, a living room, 2 toilets and a kitchen.

Local transportation will be covered by a monthly transportation fee.
The host organisation will ensure the participation of each volunteer in
-basic introductory sessions on practical aspects of safety and life in Bucharest
– training sessions on facilitation

PROFILE OF THE VOLUNTEER
-Be between 18 and 30 years old
– Be motivated to work with children in schools, social centres and hospitals
– Have an interest in multiple art forms (music, dance, art, theatre, arts and crafts, drawing, etc.), as well as in children’s education, social marketing, social networks and psycho-pedagogy
– Show a lot of positive energy and a responsible approach to work
