Pistes Solidaires is looking for 2 volunteers to work with Associação Juvenil de Deão, which works mainly with young people and children in rural areas of Viana do Castelo.
Missions
– support in project work, facilitate activities, support in meetings with partners, preparation of activities, etc;
– proposing new projects and ideas for the department;
– Support in writing projects with youth teams.
– You will participate in the support of the association’s community school, providing support to the monitors and developing, under their guidance, the daily activities with the children and young people (study time, art, body language, science, computer, free time, etc. )
– Develop the AJD community garden;
– Rethinking the AJD outdoor space (large garden)
– Develop ideas to make the playroom more eco-friendly
– Join the cavaquinho group.
– (non-formal) language courses for children, youth and adults
– writing articles for a newsletter “O Caroça” to tell about your experience
– creation of communication materials (posters, videos) around the activities offered by AJD
– helping teachers in rural schools to organise extra-curricular activities for their pupils
– Helping a social centre to organise reading and writing workshops for elderly illiterate people
– develop activities in schools in gypsy communities with few opportunities
– inform and present the European Solidarity Corps
