Pistes Solidairesis looking for 1 volunteer to join a 6-month project combining permaculture, sustainable living, and community life in rural Spain.
THE HOST ORGANISATION
Boodaville is a rural permaculture centre in Spain, connected to two partner projects: L’Espiral and Mas La Llum. The centre promotes sustainable lifestyles through regenerative agriculture, environmental education, and ecotourism. Its goal is to create a living example of applied permaculture principles, strengthen local networks, and open minds to alternative ways of living. The projects regularly host volunteers to work with children, support agricultural activities, and participate in community life.
ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
Over the 6 months, the volunteer will divide their time between the two partner projects, as well as Boodaville. They will take part in educational permaculture activities such as workshops with children and trainings, help in vegetable gardens, olive groves and almond orchards, feed chickens, contribute to the management of common spaces, composting and waste reduction, and participate in bioconstruction projects and infrastructure maintenance. The volunteer will also help organise and co-facilitate workshops and local events, document the project through articles, photos or videos, and join visits to other permaculture initiatives in the region.
