Pistes Solidaires is looking for motivated volunteers eager to support intercultural integration and professional empowerment of women and mothers, by helping with childcare, organizing activities, and assisting educational courses in a dynamic German association.
THE HOST ORGANISATION
migration_miteinander e.V. is an association based in Witten, Germany. Their project focuses on interculturalism and professional integration. They explore how we want to live together in society and learn from each other. They believe women and mothers, despite having fewer opportunities, play a crucial role as influencers and role models for the next generation. Helping women and mothers engage more actively in society is a key goal.
They support this through sewing courses and childcare services for children under three, addressing maternity as a potential barrier to employment. They also develop sustainable intercultural fashion initiatives.
ACTIVITIES OF THE VOLUNTEER
The volunteer will take care of children and assist mothers in becoming more autonomous. They will support courses for children and teenagers, organize activities independently, and work closely with the team. Basic German language skills are required, and an interest in upcycling is preferred.
